nellybyte is a personal blog mostly about IT related topics including virtualisation, data storage, public cloud and is maintained by me – Neale (A.K.A Nelly).
When I started working alongside a good Friend 7 years ago he always introduced me to customers as Nelly and it stuck. So it had to be part of the site name.
I have been working in the IT industry for quite a while now in mostly in a storage or compute guise. I’ve worked for different companies from start-ups like Nimble and Wasabi as well as “Tier 1” vendors HPE and EMC. I joined Wasabi in July 2022 working with Public Sector, mid-market and enterprises revolutionising their file Cloud Object Storage.
Personally I live in the Cotswold hills and enjoy all things countryside often aided by my Golden Retriever “Barley”.
